Chelsey Bowermaster, Fitness Blogger and Personal Trainer
Chelsey Bowermaster is a certified personal trainer and currently works as the Healthy Lifestyles Director at the Two Rivers YMCA in Moline, IL. She has been an ACE (American Council on Exercise) Certified Personal Trainer for over 7 years, and graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Integrative Physiology.
Chelsey has qualified for and ran the Boston Marathon and completed several other marathons for breast cancer awareness and other health initiatives. In 2014, Chelsey was recognized as the Outstanding Physical Director of the year on behalf of the Illinois State Alliance of YMCAs and was also given the Innovation Award for “outside-the-box” thinking.
Chelsey and her husband, Cole (who works at the Scott County Family Y), say moving is a priority at home with their spirited 3-year-old daughter, Caroline. They love to bike the river trails in the QCA (Caroline in tow in her wagon) and play in the park
“Every level of fitness has a beginning,” Chelsey says. “We all start somewhere (and as moms know, we all start over at difference phases of our lives)! Make good choices and your body will respond.”
