Step into Scott County’s rural past on a self-guided tour of Dan Nagle Walnut Grove Pioneer Village!
Walnut Grove was a Scott County cross-roads settlement and stage coach stop of the 1860s. The Village includes 22 historic buildings, some relocated from rural Scott County. Pioneer Village has accessible and modern restroom facilities. Great for school groups, weddings and family picnics.
April 1 through October 31
9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
$2 adults, $1 kids, under 5 free. Fee charged for special events (see calendar) and guided tours, call for dates.
- “Home Life” buildings including an 1870’s church
- “Farming & Transportation” with a blacksmith shop
- “Main Street’s” general store and working Ice Cream Soda Shop on weekends, May-Sept.
